Egmont Energy
Electric's was formed in 1992 when Egmont Energy decided to
rationalise and sell off assets that were not directly related to
Power Generation and
Distribution.

Since then the
company has grown at a steady rate to a point where it is well
known in the New Zealand Electrical Power and Generating
industry for its' expertise and reliability in Oil
Regenerating.

Transformer Oil
Regenerating is done on Tank Stock or De-energised Transformers as
well as on Energised Transformers (Live Line). All work is done in
accordance with company procedures which are written and updated on
an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with the latest technology and
legal requirements.
Staff are competent to
perform their tasks, with on the job training being done on a
continuous basis. Operators hold Authorised Holders Certificates
(AHC) to assure access to Power and Sub Stations.
In line with world-wide
trends the company is updating equipment used to ensure that the
most environmentally friendly plant and equipment is
used.

owned by Energy Services International New Zealand Pty
Ltd.
ESI NZ has a wealth of experience and has been
operating in specialised transformer oil services for over fifteen
years in
New Zealand
’s power industry. ESI NZ
currently operates six oil plants in
New Zealand and has been doing on
line oil recycling for fifteen years in
New Zealand
for all the
large Power Authorities. Work has been completed on transformer
sizes up to 440KV.
A new
company ENERGY SERVICES INVIRONMENTAL has now been established in
Australia.
ESI has
the exclusive rights to Velcon filter technology throughout
Australia ,
New Zealand and
Malaysia .
ESI will
continue to provide and expand the following services offered
throughout Australia and New
Zealand.
-Transformer
oil reclamation including desludging, on or off line
-Transformer
oil vacuum drying
-Oil sampling and testing
-Dechlorination of
PCB contaminated oil and Solid Waste.
-Supply of Transformer Oil Filtration equipment
-Manufacture of tap
changer filter units under ESI TOMS brand.
-Supply,
installation and hire of passive
filtration and dry out systems for main
transformer transformer tanks, supply of new new or regenerated
oil.
Recently
ESI has completed reclamation services for Transgrid NSW on 330KV
single phase transformers and currently providing on-line
reclamation services to Electranet South
Australia
on 275KV transformers.
ESI staff are experienced in all facets of oil
handling and energised transformer work while holding all relevant
access and work permits to work in HV switchyards.
