The Portable Filter is designed to
remove dissolved moisture from transformer oil to ensure all
oil being transferred to electrical equipment meets recognized
standards. This Filter Unit is supplied with 2 single
cartridge filter housings to suit a variety of Velcon
Cartridges. For transfer applications an Aquacon AC-718P4D
cartridge is used in series with a SD-718 Superdri cartridge.
This combination provides overpressure lockout protection
against free water and particulates with dissolved water
removal to less than 10ppm (monitored by moisture meter). The
unit is supplied with an in-line moisture meter, type Vaisala
HMP228.

APPLICATIONS
The Filter Pump can be used for:
Oil
Transfer: Filling of Transformers,
Cable boxes or Tapchangers units through this filter unit will
ensure the oil is clean (0.4 micron filtration with AC-718P4D
cartridge) and moisture is removed to less than 10ppm. The
outgoing moisture level in the oil can be monitored and
recorded for Quality Control
purposes.
Preventive Maintenance: Routine filtering of oil in the transformer or
machine reservoir extends the life of the oil and equipment
and guards against unexpected
breakdowns.
Reclamation: Spilled or
used oil can be filtered to remove particulates, moisture and
acidic compounds thus allowing reuse for it’s original
purpose.
